With the Covid-19 vaccine a significant issue across the disability community, Inclusion Australia has partnered with the Australian Government Department of Health to run a webinar for people with an intellectual disability and families.
This free session will be run as a chat between Tara Elliffe, a self-advocate from New South Wales, and Professor Nick Lennox, a doctor who works with people with an intellectual disability and the Department of Health. They will talk about Tara’s recent experience getting her Covid jab, and will cover issues including:
- worries that people with an intellectual disability have about getting vaccinated
- why getting the vaccine is important
- how and where to get the vaccine
The webinar is next Wednesday, 1 September
