DANA, alongside the Justice and Equity Centre, recently met with the President and Deputy President of the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) to discuss the publication of NDIS decisions. We’re pleased to share that the Tribunal has confirmed it will resume publishing nearly all NDIS decisions after only a small number were made available following its rollout in October.

Transparency in decision-making is critical for accountability and fairness. Since the establishment of the ART, the limited publication of decisions has been a concern for advocates and people with disability. We raised this issue directly with the Tribunal’s leadership, reinforcing the importance of ensuring NDIS decisions are accessible and publicly available. The Tribunal acknowledged these concerns and reaffirmed its commitment to increasing transparency.

The President and Deputy President also recognised the crucial role of independent disability advocacy in supporting people to challenge government decisions. They outlined some steps being taken to improve the accessibility of the Tribunal, ensuring that people with disability and their advocates have a clearer and more effective pathway through the review process.

DANA will continue engaging with the Tribunal to monitor these developments and push for further improvements. If you or the people you support are experiencing challenges with the Tribunal process, we want to hear from you. Your insights help strengthen our advocacy and ensure better outcomes for the community.
