DANA echoes the concerns raised by ACOSS, the ASU, QIDAN and the financial counselling submission regarding the proposed changes to the SCHADS award under [2025] FWCFB 74 and its potential workforce impacts.

While standardising the award categories in itself is not inherently problematic, the proposed structure risks further undervaluing the labour of disability advocates. This will therefore reinforce and expand, rather than correct, longstanding patterns of undervaluation in the sector.
