A media release is expected from Minister for Social Services, Christian Porter MP and Assistant Minister, Jane Prentice MP in the coming weeks about the future of the National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) and NDIS Appeals funding. Information about the future of disability peak body funding should be expected around the same time. DANA is hoping for an opportunity to again be able to apply for funding for the core work related to being the coordinating point for independent advocacy and a strong national voice on the issues that affect the many thousands of Australians who are helped by advocates every year.
