On 26 July 2016, a man attacked a centre for people living with disabilities in Sagamihara, Japan, killing 19 people and seriously injuring 26. On July 26, 2017, L’Arche International launched the 9th film its its #AsIAM web series, paying respect to the victims of the massacre. In this thought-provoking film, Nineteen Paper Cranes, the story follows Sachiko making recycled paper with her community, with the paper on which the attacker justified his actions.
