The first official Sitting of the Disability Royal Commission opened on Monday 16 September 2019.
Commission chair Ronald Sackville said how the Royal Commission will strongly reference the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability.
He acknowledged the hard work of advocates who had campaigned for years to make this royal Commission a reality.
